Minimally Invasive Surgery
Dr. Daniel Boyett completed his general surgery training at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Boyett then completed a fellowship The Johns Hopkins University where he specialized in advanced minimally invasive general surgery techniques. He offers surgeries including: gallbladder surgery, acid reflux surgery, hernia repair, breast surgery, colorectal surgery, skin and soft tissue surgery, cancer surgery, appendix surgery, small bowel surgery, gastric and peptic ulcer, biopsies, adrenalectomy, and port placement for vascular access.

02
Gallbladder Surgery
Dr. Boyett has extensive experience removing gallbladders and performs all gallbladder surgeries minimally invasively – either laparoscopically or robotically using the da Vinci robotic platform. These techniques help to reduce pain and speed recovery. Surgery is a same-day surgery and often people are ready to return to work within a few days.
03
Hernia
Dr. Daniel Boyett performs minimally invasive and robotic surgery to repair all types of hernias. He believes that this provides the most effective repair with the best and quickest recovery to help you return to your daily life including work, play, and exercise.

04
Acid Reflux
If you have severe reflux that is not helped with lifestyle changes and medication, Dr. Daniel Boyett can perform a Nissen Fundoplication laparoscopically. This is a well-tolerated surgery and patients typically spend less than 24 hours in the hospital.
07
Skin and Soft Tissue
There are many causes for skin spots or abnormalities ranging from benign mole to cancer to infection. Many of these need a biopsy to provide a definitive diagnosis. Dr. Daniel Boyett can perform a biopsy procedure many times in the office to sample or remove the skin spot and send the biopsy off for further information. His expertise allows him to use advanced techniques to provide the best closure appearance with minimal scarring.

06
Colon Surgery
Dr. Daniel Boyett has extensive experience in treating colorectal diseases and performs minimally invasive surgery either laparoscopically or robotically to treat colorectal disease. This allows for a faster recovery, less pain, less scarring, and decreased risk of infection. He performs surgeries such as: colon resection for polyp, mass, or cancer; hemorrhoid surgery; anal fissure surgery; and diverticulitis surgery.
05
Breast Surgery
Routine breast screening and mammograms and ultrasounds are important in the early detection of breast cancer. If initial imaging has a suspicious spot, your doctor may need a referral to a surgeon to help identify if the spot is benign or cancerous. Dr. Daniel Boyett will provide and coordinate a fine-needle aspiration, stereotactic biopsy, or surgical breast biopsy to help with the diagnosis.
